Dr. Byungkwan Kim
Dr. Byung-Kwan Kim, known by his pen name Hwajeong, was appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Korea Choongang Education Foundation in 1999. In response to the evolving educational landscape of the 21st century, he led the establishment of the Korea Digital Education Foundation in June 2000, formed through a consortium including Korea University, Samsung SDS, Dong-A Ilbo, and others. Subsequently, in February 2001, he founded Korea Digital University. In February 2010, Korea Digital University was renamed Korea Cyber University and became an institution under the Korea Choongang Education Foundation.
